As pu-erh tea grew in popularity, a deeper understanding of it came to be established and local Yunnan tea makers developed a new breed of pu-erh, the Moonlight Beauty. This unique tea is made of dried tender buds of Yunnan large-leaf ancient trees growing at an altitude of 1800 meters above as raw material by a method similar to that of Fuding White Tea.

The Moonlight Beauty tea is rich in taste, and brews to a clear yellow liquid full of flavor with each mouthful smooth and sweet without a hint of bitterness.

It is recommended to use bigger tea sets such as ceramic sets, Yixing Clay sets or gaiwan to brew pu’erh tea, to enjoy the better quality and characteristic of pu’erh tea’s color, aroma and the taste. 90°c to 100°c of water temperature will be better.

The usual brewing method of raw pu’erh tea

Ratio of tea and water: 1g:50ml (depending on personal taste)

Gently pry with a tea knife along layer of the tea cake (or brick). Pry out certain amount of tea leaves for certain number of people.

Put the tea leaves into a teapot.

And then pour boiling water into it to wash off the dirt and impurities from tea surface first, so that can improve the clarity of tea and also can fully release the true taste of pu'er tea.

Immediately drain off the water.

Pour the hot water into pot and steep for 5 sec.

Transfer the tea to a fair cup to share.

Enjoy the aroma before tasting it.

*Gradually increase steeping time and for subsequent brewing.
