Many people have encountered a situation when shopping teas online that the price gap looks quite overwhelming on a same type and similar quality tea from different vendors. A same type of Dragon Well tea can be sold at the price range of few dollars to hundred dolloars per 100 gram. It is not surprised that they are all noted as equivalent quality which make people so confused to buy. Then it must be something invisible factors giving them such a great disparity on the price.

The origin of tea matters the price. Tea comes from its original birth place are known as best, and tastes most authentic. A good tea from its original birth place where the eco system of the environment naturally helps the tea plants growing healthy and reaching the best in quality.
Teas from higher sea-level are used to be more expensive due to its rare production and non-polluted environment, as well as its colder growing condition that can reduce the astringent flavor of the tea.
